PSALMS 23, 91, AND 121

The safety of abiding in the presence of God, the Shepherd of His people.

Verse 1: He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High shall
abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Verse 2: I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God in whom I trust.”

Verse 3: Surely He shall deliver me from the snare of the
hunter and from the deadly pestilence.

Verse 4: He shall cover me with His feathers, and under His
wings I shall find protection; His faithfulness shall be
my shield and wall.

Verse 5: I shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the
arrow that flies by day;

Verse 6: Nor of the pestilence that pursues in darkness, nor of
the destruction that strikes at noonday.

Verse 7: A thousand may fall at my side and ten thousand at
my right hand, but it shall not come near me.

Verse 8: Only with my eyes shall I behold and see the reward
of the wicked.

Verse 9: Because I have made the LORD, who is my refuge, even the Most
High, my dwelling,

Verse 10: There shall be no evil befall me, neither shall any plague come
near my tent;

Verse 11: For He shall give His angels charge over me to guard me in all my
ways.

Verse 12: They shall bear me up in their hands, lest I strike my foot against
a stone.

Verse 13: I shall tread upon the lion and adder; the young lion and the
serpent I shall trample underfoot.

Verse 14: Because I have set my love upon Him, therefore He will deliver
me; He will set me on high, because I have known His name.

Verse 15: I shall call upon Him, and He will answer me; He will be with me in
trouble, and He will deliver me and honor me.

Verse 16: With long life He will satisfy me and show me His salvation.

PSALM 23

PSALM 91

This Psalm is a psalm of trust in God our Creator and Father in heaven. It portrays the security of those who trust in the Lord God Almighty. Here, it is personalized. Read it. Pray with it, and more importantly, meditate on it in your heart, and the Lord Jesus will not fail you.

This Psalm (like Psalm 91) is also a psalm of trust in God our Creator and Father in heaven, who is a caring Shepherd of His people. It celebrates God's protection and blessings for those who know Him personally and have confidence in Him as the Good Shepherd. Read it. Pray with it, and more importantly, meditate on it in your heart, and the Lord will provide for you.

Verse 1: The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Verse 2: He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads
me beside still waters.

Verse 3: He restores my soul; He leads me in paths of
righteousness for His name’s sake.

Verse 4: Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow
of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your
rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

Verse 5: You prepare a table before me in the presence of my
enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs
over.

Verse 6: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the
days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the
LORD forever.

PSALM 121

This Psalm (like the previous two) is also a psalm of trust in God our Creator and Father in heaven, who is the HELP of those who seek Him. It is an expression of confidence in the Lord, who is always ready to come to the aid of those who are faithful to Him. Read it, pray with it, and more importantly, meditate on it in your heart, and the Lord will protect you.

Verse 1: I look to the mountains; where will my help come from?

Verse 2: My help will come from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Verse 3: He will not let me fall; my PROTECTOR is always awake.

Verse 4: The PROTECTOR of Israel never dozes or sleeps.

Verse 5: The Lord will guard me; He is by my side to protect me.
Verse 6: The sun will not hurt me during the day, nor the moon during the

night.

Verse 7: The Lord will protect me from all evil; He will preserve my soul.
Verse 8: He will protect me as I go out and come in from this time forth, and

even forevermore. Amen.
