A FAITHFUL BELIEVER

  • Do not worry unnecessarily or excessively because of what you see happening around you. There is nothing new under the sun.

  • The wicked spring up like grass, and when all the workers of iniquity flourish, it is that they may be destroyed forever.

  • But those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age. They shall be fresh and flourishing to declare that the Lord is upright, that He is our rock, and that there is no unrighteousness in Him.

  • No matter what you see happening in the world today, trust in the Lord Jesus and show a gentle attitude toward everyone.

  • Read the Word of God and pray always, not only for yourselves but the whole world.

  • Fill your minds with those things that are good and that deserve praise: things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and honorable.

  • Put into practice what you learn from the Word of God, and the God who gives us peace will be with you. God's peace which surpasses all understanding will keep your hearts and minds safe through Christ Jesus our Lord.

This Psalm gives us some insights into the character of those who may dwell with the Lord--those who desire to enter into His presence:

  • They are those who obey God in everything and always do what is right.

  • They are those whose words are true and sincere.

  • They are those who do not slander others.

  • They are those who do no wrong to their friends or spread rumors about their neighbors.

  • They are those who despise those whom God rejects, but honor those who obey the Lord.

  • They are those who always do what they promise, no matter how much it may cost.

  • They are those who make loans without charging interest.

  • They are those who cannot be bribed to testify against the innocent.

Those who do these things will always be secure--they will never be moved.
